Transparency Forum supports initiatives for more green spaces in urban areas

Transparency Forum through this public letter provides support to the initiative of the Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) that municipal property located at that former shopping center "Ben-af" to return back to citizens in order to be utilized as the green and recreation space.

It is evident that the city of Prizren lacks public spaces for recreation and socializing, which is mainly due to poor planning and mismanagement of public property, allowing the usurpation of these areas, which are already limited within city’s neighbourhoods. The existence of only one greening space (park) with extended sizes within residential areas of the neighbourhoods of Prizren city with over 90 000 inhabitants adds the necessity of supporting the initiative and support the idea that municipal property in the former shopping center "Ben-af" is given back to citizens to be utilized as the green and recreation space.
