MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT FACILITATES INTEGRATION OF THE RAE COMMUNITY

Proceeding from the “Online Transparency of Prizren Municipality” project, EC Ma Ndryshe has partaken in the following meeting of the Mayor, Mr. Ramadan Muja, with the municipal directors, in which a number of decisions were rendered.

At this meeting municipal government of Prizren has approved the proposal of the Directorate of Administration on the exemption from administrative fees for civil registration of all the unregistered citizens and children born outside healthcare system from the RAE communities. This exemption shall be effective throughout April. The approved proposal came as the result of a circular letter issued from the Ministry of Local Government Administration, requiring April be assigned as a month for registration of citizens of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities who are born outside health institutions.

In this respect it was also approved the proposal of the Directorate of Education on allowing funds for covering the expenses for “Jeta e Re” and “Terzi Mahalla” Learning Centres designated for RAE communities, a sum amounting to 15,000 EUR. Read the Press Release.
